"The Class 3F 'Jinty' was a real workhorse, used for goods and passenger services between 1924 and 1967. Over 400 of these locomotives were built and most spent their working lives on the LMS/BR(M), although Jinties were also used on the SDR, NCC (Ulster) and by the War Department."
